Hidden by its size and location, the nest of a hummingbird usually defies being located, in a sense it is “Snugged”. The “hummer” hen, for all her smallness, seems an ill-fit for the nest. A couple bean-sized eggs are her consuming task as she “snugs” in to it. Just more marvels in regards to an already incredible life form.

I have returned to the cantilever aspect of presenting sculpture. This seems to elevate and give a lightness that works well with avian subject matter, even the nest.
